1. What is CLN's commercial structure? Can CLN benefit its members?
CLN is a co-operation and resource-exchange network between members; the purpose of CLN is to consistently develop new business and bring new client for members.
We require a CLN member be qualified in his/her business area and offer a special discounted compensation rate for other CLN member when they use his/her service or refer him/her a client. CLN use this function to encourage business/client referral between members and ensure both the referrer and the referee be benefited from the cooperation.
2. As a CLN member, how can I get clients?
CLN is mainly a Business-to-Business instead of a Business-to-Customer website which create client mostly by business referral between members. Therefore a member generally has two ways to get new clients from CLN:
- when a member has a business resource, he/she could directly contacts the interned referee for business cooperation. In this situation, CLN Terms of Use Agreement is not effective, the referrer and referee could negotiate how to cooperate and how to share the profits of this case.
- when a member has a business resource, he/she could initially contact CLN, request CLN’s coordination or assignment, to refer business to another member. In this case, CLN should supervise the cooperation between the referrer and referee, to ensure both members are benefited from the business cooperation -- to ensure the referrer gets a Referral Fee and the referee provides the same quality of service to the client.
The quantity of business you can get is of course related to your Activity in the 1st situation and to CLN’s option in the 2nd situation -- you have to be qualified in your business area.
3. What is Discount Rate?
The Discounted Rate, for example 10%, means when another CLN member uses your service or refers you a client, you (as the referee) should charge your discounted compensation, i.e. 10% off your standard charge. CLN uses this way to encourage client referral between members and ensure both will be benefited from the referral. Each member's Discount Rate will be shown on its profile on the CLN website.
We do not suggest how much your Discount Rate should be. The Discount Rate can be zero -- it is all up to you to decide as per your service character. CLN will double confirm your Discount Rate on this particular case when we assign you a client.
4.What is Discounted Charge? When does Discounted Charge happen?
When, with CLN's coordination, a CLN member provides service to another, or one member becomes another’s client, the service provider could charge on its discounted compensation, pertaining to its Discount Rate shown on its profile of CLN website.
5.What is Referral Fee? Who pays the Referral Fee? How much is it?
When, with CLN's coordination, a CLN member refers a client or business to another, the referee could charge the client on its standard compensation rate and return to CLN a Coordination Fee equal to the balance of its standard charge and discounted charge, pertaining to its Discount Rate shown on its profile of CLN website.
CLN will pay the referrer a Referral Fee equal to 75% of the Coordination Fee it received from the referee, immediately upon its receipt of the Coordination Fee.
CLN will coordinate the referral between members, ensuring that the referrer will get the Referral Fee and that the referee will provide the same quality service to the client. For providing such service, CLN would keep 25% of the Coordination Fee as its service compensation.
With a written notification before the assignment, the referrer can abandon its rights for Referral Fee or leave the discount to the client. In this case, CLN will not charge either Coordination Fee or service compensation.
6. Can a member directly contact another for business referral without CLN's participation?
Yes. As we already mentioned in question 2, A CLN member can directly contact another for business cooperation or client referral without acknowledgment/coordination of CLN. In this situation, CLN Terms of Use Agreement is not effective; the referrer and referee can negotiate with each other on how to cooperate and how to share the profits. In this case CLN will take NO Coordination Fee and hold NO liability for coordination of this referral or business cooperation.
7. How can I market myself through CLN web service?
CLN and its members are marketing for each other consistently, even when you are asleep.
As a CLN member, you can upload your profile, write articles, and exchange business resources with other members. CLN will spread your business resources to all members through the website and by email group-sending at the same time. We will also broadcast your articles through our newsletter, publication and media service to market you among CLN’s circle of members, visitors, clients, media, and databases.
CLN's marketing facilities include: a website promotion focused on needs of members and their prospective clients; a uniformed business card of worldwide top members; CLN seminars and conferences; CLN public relations and activities; CLN media and newsletter services; CLN resources spread between members; and MSN & Skype hotline available 24 hours.
8. What are the rules for a member to write on CLN website?
CLN has 5 columns for member to write on our website:
- Business Resource: Tell us when you have a service requirement or a business proposal which needs to be co-operated with (or referred to) other CLN members;
- Enquiry: When you have a question and need answers from other CLN members, post your question here.
- Blog: Your business diary. To share whatever is on your mind?? when doing business;
- News: Latest and most updated business news related to your service area, your country, or your firm;
- HR: Seek an employee or business partner here.
- Marketplace: it’s a comprehensive advertisement column; you can introduce your services or products here. Any advertisement beyond this column is strictly prohibited.
- Event: To host or sponsor a seminar, event, or get-together of CLN members.
A member's Business Resources would be mailed to all members as a weekly CLN Business Resource Newsletter;
A member's Blog and News would be mailed to all CLN database as a monthly CLN Commercial Newsletter;
The author will keep all copyrights on the writings on our website and newsletters, the client can easily find your contact and your services through our newsletter and publication. CLN’s media newswire services could broadcast CLN's newsletter to trillions of readers all around the world.
9.What is Activity Point? How to enable the client to more easily search for my services?
CLN members are ranked per Activity Points. When you write an article/resource on CLN website, your Activity will be automatically increased by one point, and your rank in CLN would be automatically improved. Obviously, more Activity Points allow the client to more easily find you when they are searching for business cooperation.
On the other hand, if you do not respect CLN rules of article writing (i.e. any advertisement beyond the column of Marketplace is strictly prohibited), your Activity will be automatically decreased two points -- which could degrade your position in CLN.
10. I would like to refer business to another member, but can I? trust him?
Yes. CLN demands each CLN member must be qualified in his/her business area and strictly abide CLN Terms of Use Agreement. When a CLN member breaches this agreement or has other bad faith activities, CLN could terminate his/her membership immediately and may list him/her as a “black sheep” -- thereby warning all members to be careful of him/her.
11. What is United Service? How can I participate?
The United Service is selected as business cooperation between members in different locations. It is usually a sample case, but the case usually requires you to travel around. By using the resources of CLN members worldwide, you can entrust another CLN member in the proposed area to easily help you out -- it will save you traveling time as well as expenses.
You can participate in CLN United Service automatically upon?becoming a member. You can also click “participation” in each CLN United Service to emphasize your participation in this project.
12.I want to leave CLN. On what conditions and how quickly I can terminate the membership?
CLN is a voluntary network; every member can join and also can leave CLN free of charge. A member can write a termination application to CLN to decline membership, and the membership and CLN Use Agreement will be terminated within 24 hours on our receipt of the application. CLN will delete all his/her contact info from our website immediately upon termination.
However, if there happens to be a business referral to him/her from other CLN member before the termination, he/she must continue to follow related rules (i.e, Discounted Rate) on CLN Use Agreement until the case is completely finished – this is the only requirement for termination of CLN membership.
13. How can I update my profile in both Chinese and English Version of CLN?
